Blackheath Resources (BHR.V) has reported back on its Phase 2 drill program at its Covas Tungsten project in Northern Portugal. This drill program was aimed at delineating the skarn mineralization beyond the current mineralized envelope. The company has drilled 14 holes totaling in excess of 1100 meters at an average distance of 200 meters away from the currently known mineralized zones.

Of interest is the intercept of 3 meters at 1.26% WO3 which is an excellent intersection as this opens the possibility to expand the currently known mineralized zones. According to Alexander Langer, Blackheath’s Vice President Corporate Development ‘the company is encouraged by these drill results as the average distance of the step out holes from the mineralized zones of 200 meters is very encouraging, and has offered new insight in the geological structure at Covas.’

The company now has a better understanding where the high grade areas are and we expect the next drill program to focus on these high grade zones which should allow Blackheath Resources to convert the current historical resource estimate at Covas into a NI43-compliant resource estimate.
