Integra Gold (ICG.V) has announced it has discovered several new mineralized zones approximately 200 meters west of the Triangle deposit. The discovery was made when the company was doing some drilling at the spot where it was planning to develop its ramp to reach the Triangle zone ore and this was one of the few times a company was expecting to find nothing at all. Things turned out to be different and the drill bit showed some very interesting intercepts such as 9 meters of just over 3g/t gold and 1.6 meters of in excess of 100 g/t gold.

It’s quite surprising to find the mineralization there, and the company is planning to start a follow-up drill program in the first quarter of next year. This could have huge implications as the discovery zone seems to be open towards the west and the mineralized area could be expanded rather quickly. The scope of the 2015 drill program still needs to be defined, but it looks like the Lamaque property might have some hidden treasures.
