Integra Gold (ICG.V) is currently in the middle of an extremely extensive 2015 drill program wherein it plans to drill almost 100,000 meters to increase and upgrade the existing resource estimate at the Lamaque project in Val D’Or, Québec.
Almost 30,000 meters have been completed at the Triangle zone where Integra had discovered the C-structures which it wanted to follow up on, and the drill results at Triangle are consistently exceeding the expectations. The C4 zone continues to yield excellent results such as 2 meters at 11.3 g/t gold and 6 meters of almost 13 g/t gold whilst there are also some longer but lower-grade intervals with 5 meters of 2.74 g/t gold and 8 meters containing 3.7 g/t. That’s all pretty good, but there are two important facts you should remember from this press release.
First of all, the C-structures have now been extended beyond the limits of the previous resource estimate as well as the host rock, and this will have a very positive impact on a resource update which is expected to be released in October. This will be a first step to incorporate the new high-grade zones in an updated mine plan (in the pre-feasibility study which will be completed in 2016). But secondly, and even more important, is the discovery of a new C-structure, currently called the C5-zone just 100 meters below the C4 zone. An important thing to keep in mind here is the fact the C5 zone is open in all directions, highlighting the potential of the Triangle Zone.
