Prosper Gold (PGX.V) has released the results of hole 49 on the Star porphyry project in British Columbia, and the result is quite impressive. The hole intercepted an interval of 324 meters at an average grade of 0.44% copper and 0.22 g/t gold which is quite decent (as the copper-equivalent value is roughly 0.57%). What’s more important is the fact that the mineralization starts at a depth of just 4 meters which makes the mineralized zone extremely interesting. Additionally, the higher grade zone occurs close to the surface as the first 180 meters had an average grade of 0.54% copper and 0.29g/t gold or 0.71% CuEq.
The company has completed 20 holes in 2014 and the mineralization remains open laterally and at depth with the higher grade zones extending to the north. Another drill program is being compiled for 2015 and the Star porphyry project could be a major discovery and we are looking forward to see the potential total tonnage on the project.
