Western Pacific Resources (WRP.V) has announced the results of a sampling program at the upper and lower parts of the Deer Trail Mine in Piute County, Utah. The lower part revealed a channel sample containing in excess of 5 ounces of gold and 260 oz of silver per tonne per tonne, as well as 6% ZnPb over a width of 53 centimeters. Another sample resulted in a 1.75m wide intercept of 16g/t gold and 1600 g/t silver as well as 3.27% ZnPb.
The Upper part of the Deer trail mine also revealed interesting intercepts such as 1.5 meters of 0.75 ounces of gold-equivalent per tonne and 0.7 meters at almost one gold-equivalent ounce per tonne.
These results are extraordinary and beat the expectations of the company. You obviously cannot extrapolate these numbers to the entire project, but it’s clear a drill program to follow up on this sampling program is definitely warranted.
