Integra Gold (ICG.V) reported it has encountered a very thick and high grade zone from the C4 structure, where an infill drill program intersected 19 meters containing 19.81 g/t gold (uncapped), or 17.5 meters true width (!) at an average grade of 8.31 g/t gold (with the gold values capped at 34.3 g/t). With a true width of almost 18 meters, this is the widest ever gold bearing intercept at Triangle.
This wasn’t the only good news in Integra’s update, as the other holes that were part of the infill drill program have also confirmed the presence of high grade gold in the C-structures closer to surface (which will be mined first). The drill bit encountered 5.95 meters of 19.55 g/t gold, ( meters at 12.76 g/t gold and another 5 meters at 15.43 g/t gold in the C2 structure (all gold values have been capped at 34.3 g/t).
The C4 drill result might be the most exciting one, but we are very pleased with the C2 infill drill program as the drill bit is confirming Integra’s geological model with wider and higher grade drill intervals than originally anticipated. Integra continues to drill the C1 and C2 structures with 25 meter intervals, and its exploration ramp will reach these mineralized areas (relatively) soon, allowing the company to take a bulk sample out of the C1 and C2 zones. ICG has now completed approximately 325 meters of lateral development (at an average rate of 4-5 meters per calendar day), and is now just 300 meters away from the western limit of the C1 and C2 structures.
The company has now also added a sixth drill rig to drill-test the first of the priority targets that were identified during the company’s Gold Rush Challenge. The drill bit will be targeting a large magnetic anomaly less than one kilometer towards the east (and along strike!) from the historic Sigma mine. This target has never been drilled before as it was located close to the border of the claims, and as far as we know, Integra Gold is the first company that has consolidated the claims and now enjoys unencumbered access to the entire target. 2,500 meters will be drilled at the target (baptized as Sigma East Extension) and we hope to see some assay results before the end of this year.
