K92 Mining (KNT.V) has released the assay results from an additional 11 diamond drill holes completed at the Irumafimpa gold-copper mine as part of the grade control drill program. The results are very intriguing with intervals such as 3.12 meters (true width, all reported holes in this update will be true widths) containing 6.14 g/t gold-equivalent, 3.91 meters at 60.6 g/t AuEq and 8 meters containing 24.65 g/t AuEq.
Grade control drilling is an important part of the Irumafimpa mine plan, as K92 needs to make sure it’s mining the right areas to maximize its gold production. According to CEO Ian Stalker, the two ultra high-grade assays results (the 8 meters and almost 4 meters) are located less than 20 meters away from the drill cuddy (as both zones were intersected less than 5 meters downhole).
