Kutcho Copper (KC.V) has been drilling at its Kutcho Copper project in British Columbia and the first drill results have now been announced. The company has released the assay results of two choles, of which hole 38 yielded excellent results with 28 meters at 2.09% copper, 6.1% zinc, in excess of 2 ounces of silver per tonne as well as 0.82 g/t gold.
This includes an interval of just over 10 meters containing almost 4% copper, 14.4% zinc and just below 4 ounces of silver per tonne of rock, for a total copper-equivalent grade of approximately 12%. A part of the hole was drilling within the existing resource estimate, but the parts of the hole that were drilled outside of the Esso resource envelope clearly indicate the potential to expand the currently known resource estimate. Kutcho Copper confirmed more drill results will be released over the next few weeks, so it will be interesting to see more pieces of the puzzle. We hope to see some encouraging additional high-grade drill results outside of the known mineralized envelope as that would have a positive impact on the overall resource and the economics of the project.
Once the company has released more drill results, we will put a more in-depth update report together.
