Maverix Metals (MMX.TO, MMX) has appointed David Scott and Brian Penny to its board as independent directors, as Chris Emerson is stepping down from his board position. Both Scott and Penny appear to be very qualified in the financial domain as Scott was the managing director of CIBC’s mining global investment banking division, while Penny has been the CFO of New Gold and Kinross Gold.
Also keep in mind Maverix Metals has completed its ‘uplisting’ process. The company now no longer trades on the TSX Venture Exchange but has been promoted to the main board of the Toronto Stock Exchange. Additionally, it also obtained a full listing in the USA where it’s now trading on the NYSEMKT instead of the OTC. The ticker symbol on both the TSX and NYSEMKT remains unchanged at ‘MMX’.
