Golden Shield Resources (GSRI.C) has started the third phase of its drill program on the flagship Marudi Mountain gold project in Guyana. This 3,000 meter drill program will focus on figuring out the extension of the mineralization at Mazoa Hill and drilling two new exploration targets (July and Throne).
Simultaneous with the drill program, Golden Shield will complete an IP survey to map the gold-bearing sulphide mineralization in between the Mazoa Hill deposit and the July and Throne prospects as field work has indicated the three prospects are located on the same 1.9 kilometer long mineralized trend. The IP survey will consist of 20 line kilometers and will help the field team to get a better understanding of the geophysical signature at depth at Mazoa Hill which could in turn be helpful to identify additional prospects.
