Sierra Madre & Gold (SM.V) has provided an update on its Mexican operations at its fully-owned La Guitarra silver (and gold) mine in Mexico’s Mexico City state. The company has successfully ramped up the mill to a current steady state throughput of 350 tonnes per day, a level that has been sustained for the past 30 days. The mill will now be further ramped up towards 400 tonnes per day, and it’s the company’s goal to reach 500 tonnes per day by the end of this year and declare commercial production.

Meanwhile, Sierra Madre has shipped a total of 466 dmt of concentrate, with grades around 3,000 g/t silver and around 1 ounce of gold per tonne of concentrate. The concentrate was produced from almost 28,000 tonnes of mineralized material that was processed through the La Guitarra mill. The company already received US$2.4M in revenue from the sale of concentrates.
