Brazilian Critical Minerals (BCM.AX) has released an updated resource estimate on its Ema REE project in Brazil. The updated resource estimate contains a starter zone with a total tonnage of 350 million tonnes at an average grade of 778 ppm TREO, of which 184 ppm was represented by the combination of Neodiumum and Praseodymium. This starter zone represents just a smaller part of the global resource which stands at almost one billion tonnes at a similar grade of 729 ppm TREO with 172 ppm represented by NdPr. The starter zone represents approximately 40% of the total tonnage, and is located on just 14% of the tenement are.

The 350 million tonne starter zone will now be used to complete a scoping study on the Ema project, and that scoping study should be released before the end of the current quarter. It also shouldn’t be too difficult to upgrade a substantial portion of the inferred resource category into the indicated resource category. Brazilian Critical Minerals wants to  deploy In Situ Recovery technology to recover the REEs.
