Blackheath Resources (BHR.V) has announced it started the first ever drill program at the Santa Helena breccia zone which is located close by the historical large open pit at the past-producing Borralha tungsten mine. The company plans to drill up to eight holes for a total of maximum 1,300 meters.

This drill program will be aimed to test the mineralization which was encountered during the trenching program last year which revealed intercepts of 20 meters of 0.33%WO3 in a long trench of 100 meters grading 0.13%WO3. There’s also potential for a higher-grade mineralized zone as the same trenching program yielded an intercept of 5 meters at 1.09%WO3.

According to CEO Jim Robertson, ‘the tungsten mineralization in the breccia could be indicating a potentially large mineralized zone which could be confirmed rapidly’. Needless to say we’re looking forward to this drill program.
