Avrupa Minerals (AVU.V) has released additional assay results from its Sesmarias drill program, which is part of a joint venture between the company and Sandfire Portugal. As of the date of releasing the first assay results, the company had completed three diamond drill holes with a fourth in progress but Avrupa should now be further along its seven hole drill program.

Hole SES24-054 encountered 41.2 meters containing 1.59% copper, 5.07% ZnPb and almost 55 g/t silver starting at a depth of 377 meters down-hole. This interval also included a higher grade section of 10 meters where the copper grade had increased to 2.24%. The best polymetallic-focused interval was 28.6 meters containing 1.68% copper, 7.17% ZnPb and almost 2.5 ounces of silver per tonne of rock, which included an even higher intersection of around 8 meters.

Hole SES24-053 was less exciting with just 13.15 meters containing 0.31% copper, 4.57% ZnPb and 38.4 g/t silver. Nonetheless, CEO Paul Kuhn commented these are exciting new assay results as the joint venture parties continue to develop a high-grade polymetallic core zone in the central area. The massive sulphide mineralization now extends over 1,700 meters and remains open in both directions.
