Avrupa Minerals (AVU.V) is currently waiting for the Portuguese government to issue a new experimental exploitation license on the Alvalade license before it can start its exploration activities in a joint venture with MATSA which is earning a majority stake in the project.
Avrupa won’t just be busy in Portugal but remains focused on Kosovo as well, where the company intends to get some work done on the Metovit base metals project while it also has submitted an application to the Kosovo government for a precious/base metals area in Kosovo that has been unavailable for the past decade or so because it was deemed to be an area of national interest due to the abundance of occurrences of mineralization at surface and the existence of old mine workings. We should hear back fairly soon whether or not Avrupa’s application was granted.
