Comstock Metals (CSL.V) has now divulged more information about its plans to advance the Rawhide cobalt property, which is located in the Gowganda area in the ‘Greater Cobalt Mining Camp’. The Property was optioned when David Terry was still the CEO of Comstock Metals, and the current management team seems to be keen to further develop the project.
A team dispatched by APEX Geoscience was sent to site at the end of June, and is currently conducting some basic ground work on the property, which includes soil sampling and magnetic geophysical surveys.
Comstock Metals also reiterated the Rawhide cobalt property is just ‘the first step’ in its strategic plan to diversify its asset portfolio. Last month, the company was still doing its due diligence on the potential acquisition of a US-based lithium project, so we hope to see some news and details on the portfolio expansion sooner rather than later.
