Duran Ventures (DRV.V) has provided an update on its Aguila Norte processing plant in Peru, which was constructed in 2016. The company is currently in the commissioning phase and is processing mineral provided by third parties, but Duran expects to start processing the lead-zinc-silver mineral it purchased last year shortly.
The main task for any mill operator is to ensure a sufficient amount of rock gets delivered to the mill to keep it up and running at full capacity. According to Duran Ventures, several (new) miners have now expressed their interest to process their rock at Aguila Norte, so it will be interesting to see if Duran is indeed able to source more third-party rock to complete its commissioning phase (which might take the entire first quarter).
