Firefox Gold (FFOX.V) has extended the gold system at Mustajarvi by an additional 650 meters along trend from the northeast target where hole 4 was drilled, returning 2.9 meters containing 1.3 g/t gold. A second hole, number 5, which was drilled about 580 meters from hole 1 (which was the bonanza grade interval released in June 2021), encountered 1 meter containing 3.79 g/t gold starting just 15 meters downhole.
Extending the mineralized trend by an additional 650 meters means the total length of the mineralization along the shear zone has now been expanded to approximately 2.1 kilometers, with lower grade results around the East Target but higher grade zones around the Central and Northeast targets. And according to the company’s interpretation of holes 1, 2 6 and 10 that were drilled this year, the veins appear to see an increase in average grade at depth so we can definitely expect Firefox to follow up on those findings. A geophysics-based exploration program and a 3D Modeling program are ongoing, and this will likely define more drill targets for the winter drill program.
