Golden Arrow Resources (GRG.V) has provided an update on its exploration activities at the Chinchillas silver project in Argentina’s Jujuy province. As you might remember, the company is currently advancing Chinchillas under a joint venture agreement with Silver Standard Resources (SSO.TO, SSRI) which owns the nearby Pirquitas silver mine.
Golden Arrow has now reported the results of an additional 14 drill holes at Chinchillas, and there are some pretty good intercepts with for instance 61 meters of almost 5 ounces of silver per tonne as well as 3.3% Zinc-Lead whilst the company also intersected some narrower but higher-grade intervals such as 6 meters of 388 g/t silver (and 4% Zinc-Lead) and 2 meters of 853 g/t silver. All 14 holes were drilled as part of a Phase V drill program which is part of the pre-development program developed by Silver Standard and Golden Arrow where after a potentially new mine (and development) plan will be developed.
