Group Eleven Resources (ZNG.V) has completed the 1,400 meter drill program on its Ballywire zinc prospect which is part of the 100% owned PG West project. The company drilled four holes as part of a step-out drill program for several hundred meters from hole G11-468-02 which was completed last year and contained 3.3 meters of 13.6% zinc-equivalent including 10.1% zinc, 2.4% lead and 48.3 g/t silver. As Group Eleven mentioned a 3-6 week time frame to get the assay results back from the lab, we should see the drill results pretty soon.
The company also provided an update on its Carrickittle West and Tullacondra prospects. At Carrickittle (part of the Stonepark project), Group Eleven has started planning for a follow up hole a few hundred meters north of the hole drilled earlier this year. And in other news, the company was able to secure an additional prospecting license on the west side of the Tullacondra copper-silver prospect. This additional area covers the western extension of the Waulsortian limestone which could perhaps add a zinc component to what essentially is a copper-silver exploration target.
