Integra Gold (ICG.V) has once again released more drill results from the ongoing drill program at its Parallel zone of the Lamaque property. As a reminder, Parallel is located just 800 meters from the 2,200 tpd Sigma-Lamaque mill and the mineralized zones will very likely be accessed through expanding the existing underground workings at the past-producing Sigma mine.
Even though Integra is now focusing on the Triangle Zone, the Parallel Zone is still quite important as it could provide additional mill feed and with intercepts such as 1 meter of almost 500 g/t gold and 2 meters at 47 g/t gold, there definitely is a lot of potential to define a reserve estimate at Parallel. The current resource estimate contains in excess of 200,000 ounces at an average grade of in excess of 10 g/t gold and despite the ‘lower’ grade intercepts, it sure looks like this infill drill program will increase the confidence in the Parallel resource estimate as the new drill results are confirming the continuity of the mineralized zones, which is an important necessity for high-grade narrow vein gold projects.
