Mawson Finland (MFL.V) has announced it mobilized four diamond drill rigs and a smaller base-of-till drill rig to its flagship Rajapalot project in Finland. The four diamond drill rigs are scheduled to complete 12,000-15,000 meters of drilling of which the majority is focusing on expanding the currently known mineralized zones at Rajapalot. This should be an important step towards increasing the current inferred resource estimate at the project.
An additional 2-3,000 meters of drilling (less than 20% of the total diamond drill program) has been dedicated towards brownfields exploration on exploration targets that are currently being developed from the electromagnetic surveys the company has reported on. Additionally, should the base-of-till exploration programs provide any meaningful results, Mawson Finland can use a portion of the 3,000 meters of target testing to follow up on those results as well.
That base of till drill program will be pretty substantial as the company plans to complete in excess of 500 (shallow) holes with an average depth of just 5-15 meters which are designed to follow up on the ionic leach soil anomalies and geophysical anomalies. The BOT drill holes will be spaced approximately 10-20 meters from each other along continuous lines.
The respective drill programs should be completed in April 2025, and we hope to see the initial assay results to be released from March on.
