Metanor Resources (MTO.V) is in the final stages of a 1,200 meter drill program on the Barry gold property in Québec, Canada and the assay results from the first few holes are already quite interesting. Hole 04 contained 4.4 meters of 2.1 g/t gold as well as 10 meters of 2.5 g/t gold within 30 meters from surface, and that’s a pretty good grade for near-surface exploration results!
The 30 meters of 1.8 g/t (including 13 meters of 3.6 g/t) and 9 meters containing 5.4 g/t are also very encouraging, considering the average grade of the current resource is ‘just’ 1.29 g/t in the indicated resource and 1.65 g/t in the inferred resource (for a total of 780,000 ounces of gold).
