NxGold (NXN.V) has announced its summer exploration program at the Kuulu gold project in Nunavut. Two rigs will be dispatched to the project site to commence a 30 hole drill program for a total of 4,000 meters of drilling. Approximately half of the drill program will be targeting the high priority drill targets where the highest concentrations of the gold-rich quartz material occur.
Additionally, the company will also initiate an electromagnetic and magnetic survey which will be flown over the entire Kuulu project. The magnetic survey will be executed by a drone flying almost 2,000 kilometers at a spacing of 25 meters, which will result in high-resolution images, helping the company to decide where to drill next.
