Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC) has released the results of its scoping study on the Arcadia lithium project, which currently hosts a resource estimate of 23.4 million tonnes at 1.42% LiO2 (and 123 g/t Ta2O5) in Zimbabwe, Africa.
Approximately 70% of the total resources are located in the measured resource category, and the company has completed a mine plan focusing on a mine life of 15-25 years. The entire mineralized area which is subject to the mine plan is located on mining claims, which should make it fairly easy for Prospect to develop the property. It’s surprising to see no economics have been published as part of the scoping study, which must be an unicum. That being said, Prospect Resources has promised to publish a pre-feasibility study in the current quarter, so we’re looking forward to see the real economics of the project.
