Riverside Resources (RRI.V) continues to encounter high-grade areas of interest on its Cuarentas project in Sonora. The company is wrapping up a channel and soil sampling program ahead of a drill campaign and over the course of the summer, Riverside took 55 channel samples and 181 soil samples.
Of the 55 channel samples, 22% (12) returned values higher than 0.6 g/t gold while 27 of the samples (including the aforementioned 12) yielded grades exceeding 0.2 g/t gold. The real eye-catcher was a channel sample at Santa Rosalia Sur where a rock saw cut through 9.1 g/t gold over 3.4 meters, including a narrower interval of 0.8 meters containing 32.9 g/t. And this wasn’t the only high-grade result as the Santa Rosalia target yielded 1.6 meters of 21.7 g/t gold and 2.8 meters of 3.3 g/t gold with additional high-grade encounters:
The 181 soil samples were taken using a grid of 50 meter spaced lines with 25 meters in between the samples, and putting all the results together, this resulted in an interesting-looking anomaly:
The channel and soil sampling programs were helpful in determining the continuity along the Santa Rosalia mine and Santa Rosalia Sur, and Riverside is now working on an IP survey on both targets and we expect the company to follow up with a drill program before the end of the year.
