Earlier this month, Rockhaven Resources (RK.V) released assay results from 33 holes drilled as part of its 72 hole 2021 drill program. The 23 holes Rockhaven reported on were aiming to upgrade and expand the existing resources at the Klaza project, and the drill bit has encountered some noticeable intervals. At the Central Klaza zone for instance, the almost 5 meters containing 8 g/t gold-equivalent is quite interesting while there was an interval of 8.3 meters containing 5.4 g/t gold-equivalent at the Central BRX zone.

That BRX zone has now been traced for a total length of just over a kilometer and as very little drilling has taken place in the past, the contribution to the total resource estimate on the Klaza property was rather minimal. Additional drill programs should boost the tonnage contributed by the Central BRX zone to the consolidated resources at Klaza.

At the recently discovered Rusk zone, which is located about 3 kilometers southeast from the Klaza deposit, all ten holes returned significant mineralization. The company has now traced the Rusk zone over a length of 300 meters but the zone remains open along strike and to depth.

An updated resource calculation will take a bit longer than originally anticipated as the turnaround times for the assays at the lab have been very long. As the 2022 drill program can start any day now, Rockhaven has decided it will postpone the resource calculation by about a year allowing it to include the drill results from this year’s drill program in the next update.
