SolGold (SOLG.L) is still drilling away at its Cascabel copper-gold project in Ecuador, and the recent updates have been very encouraging. Hole 18 intersected visible copper mineralization between 904 and 1322 meters, and the hole was deepened to a total depth of 2,300 meters.
The Alpala zone is the only one of the fourteen different targets that have been defined at Cascabel that’s currently being drilled, with approximately 30,000 meters of drilling completed by now. Hole 19 has reached a depth of almost 1.2 kilometers by now (encountering 800 meters of ‘significant copper mineralization’, whilst hole 20 has reached a depth of approximately one kilometer.
Everything is going according to plan and SolGold is currently letting SRK prepare a NI43-101 compliant technical report which should allow SOLG to pursue a listing on the TSX sooner rather than later.
