Vanstar Mining (VSR.V) has released the final results from its 32 hole drill program on the Bousquet-Odyno gold project in Québec. The company drilled in excess of 9,100 meters to get a better understanding of the mineralized structure while working towards the C$4M spending requirement to earn a 75% stake in the project from IAMgold (IAG, IMG.TO).

The recent drill results confirm the Main Zone and Zones A and C are of particular interest to the company due to the wide intervals of gold-bearing mineralization close to surface. The company nicely summarized the reasons why these three zones are particularly appealing in the recent exploration update. All recent assay results can also be found here.

The in excess of 9,000 meters that have been drilled this summer have confirmed the presence of multiple stacked gold zones, while the strike length of the mineralized system has now been confirmed at 800 meters. This summer drill program was a success, not only because Vanstar has a better understanding of the mineralization and structures of the gold-bearing zones, but also because every single one of the 32 drill holes has intersected gold mineralization.
