After the recent fall in the gold and silver price last week and early this week, there seems to be a run on physical gold going on, as several bullion dealers ran out of inventory.

The Vancouver Bullion & Currency Exchange for instance has seen a real run on physical gold, and is usually sold out before noon, as you can see in this picture, taken yesterday at their branch Downtown.

Meanwhile in the United States, Minnesota-based bullion dealer Miles Franklin is ‘experiencing the busiest period in 24 years’ according to Marketing Director Andy Hoffman.

It definitely looks like people are buying physical gold instead of the paper-gold, which got slammed this week.
