Yesterday, White Gold (WGO.V) released an excellent set of drill results from its Golden Saddle deposit located on the company’s White Gold property in the Yukon Territory. The new exploration results have extended the footwall-based mineralization at Golden Saddle, whilst providing more insight at the main zone.
Hole 170, which was drilled at the main zone, returned 34 meters containing 4.57 g/t gold from a depth of 155 meters. Even after taking the short but high-grade interval of 4 meters at 12.25 g/t gold out of the equation, the remaining 30 meters of the drill hole have intersected an average grade of in excess of 3.5 g/t. The company claims it’s ‘one of the strongest and most consistent mineralization intercepts drilled to date’, and we agree it’s a pretty impressive drill result.
A great result from White Gold, and let’s hope Comstock Metals (CSL.V) is able to pull similar intervals out of the ground at its QV property. QV is located literally across the river from Golden Saddle, and a drill program is ongoing. As the weather seems to be deteriorating in the Yukon Territory, we would expect Comstock’s drill program to be wrapped up any day now.
